The Birth of

Sukang
Pinakurat ni
The Coconut Tree is indeed a real
symbol of the Philippines or shall I
say an epitome of a true blooded
Filipino.
Just like Arsenio Laspinas, a father of
three, who is versatile and can do a lot
of work even at one time. He can sell in
his small sari-sari store while doing
some repairs in his house.
The Coconut tree on the other hand has
its many uses as well. From housing
materials to novelty items, to oil and
food production… name it! You’ll be
amazed at the versatility of the coconut.
Every part of the palm tree has its own
shares of uses. Because of that, it is
called the Tree of Life.
Just like Arsenio,an ordinary old Filipino
man, this tree is just simple yet can provide
as one of the basic needs of the people.

There are a vast of coconut trees in this

tropical archipelago. When Arsenio was still
small, he saw these trees growing in the
farm where he usually play. He saw how its
fruits are being harvested - A man without
any shirts on, slippers off – with his bare
foot would climb up with his bolo knife to cut
– off a pool of coconut fruits.
Reminiscing those days, he had an idea
to devised ways to increase his income
by making use of it. He started
developing small portions of products
that can be found in his environment
and one of which is to make use of the
tree of life and make a sukang pinakurat
as an extra source of income.

Sukang Pinakurat is a condiment,
specifically a vinegar from organic
coconut fragmented sap also known as
"tuba" blended with "labuyo"
