INTRODUCTION TO THE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Human Resource Management is concerned with human


beings, who are energetic elements of management. The
success of an enterprise will depend upon the ability,
strength and motivation of persons working in it. Human
Resource Management refers to systematic approach to
problems in any organization. Human Resource
Management is concerned with all aspects of managing
the human resources of an organization.

INTRODUCTION OF THE STUDY

Job satisfaction describes how content an individual is with his or her


current job. Employee Job Satisfaction is essential to face the dynamic and
ever-increasing challenges of maintaining productivity of the organization
by keeping their workforce constantly engaged and motivated.
Job satisfaction represents a combination of positive or negative
feelings that workers have towards their work. Meanwhile, when a worker
employed in a business organization, brings with it the needs, desires and
experiences which determinates expectations that he has dismissed. Job
satisfaction represents the extent to which expectations are and match the
real awards.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

• There are a variety of factors that can influence a person’s


level of job satisfaction. Some of these factors include the level
of pay and benefits, the fairness policy in the promotion
system within a company, the quality of the working
conditions, leadership and social relationships, the job itself
(the variety of tasks involved, the interest and challenge the
job generates, and the clarity of the job
description/requirements).

To find that whether the employees are satisfied or not.

To analyze the company’s working environment.


To find that they are satisfied with their job profile or
not.
To identify the factors which influence the job
satisfaction of employees?
To offer valuable suggestions to improve the satisfaction
level of employees.
To identify the impact of employees’ job satisfaction on
their performance.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Job satisfaction in regards to one's feeling or state of mind


regarding nature of their work. Job can be influenced by
variety of factors like quality of one's relationship with
their supervisor, quality of physical environment in which
they work, degree of fulfilment in their work, etc.
Positive attitude towards job are equivalent to job
satisfaction where as negative attitude towards job has
been defined variously from time to time. In short job
satisfaction is a person's attitude towards job. Contd..

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Job satisfaction is an important indicator of how employees
feel about their job and a predictor of work behavior such as
organizational citizenship, Absenteeism, Turnover.
Job satisfaction benefits the organization includes reduction in
complaints and grievances, absenteeism, turnover, and
termination; as well as improved punctuality and worker
morale. Job satisfaction is also linked with a healthier work
force and has been found to be a good indicator of longevity.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY


The scope of the study is very vital. Not only the Human
Resource department can use the facts and figures of the study
but also the marketing and sales department can take benefits
from the findings of the study.
 
Scope for the sales department
The sales department can have fairly good idea about their
employees, that they are satisfied or not.

Scope for the marketing department
The marketing department can use the figures indicating that
they are putting their efforts to plan their marketing strategies
to achieve their targets or not.
Scope for personnel department
Some customers have the complaints or facing problems
regarding the job. So the personnel department can use the
information to make efforts to avoid such complaints.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Human Resource Management is considered to be the most
valuable asset in any organization. Here in Engage IT Services,
company wants to work in the section of job satisfaction level
of their employees , company wants to conduct an open survey
in their organization and based on the analysis of that
survey ,company will able to categorize their employees on
various factors.
Company is also looking to influence their employees by
motivation and creating opportunities and environments to
people at work to satisfy their needs.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Do the employees actively use this system to share their
problems?
Does the resolution provided by this system is helpful for the
employees?
What factors do the authorities look to resolve a grievance?
Does this system maintain a healthy relationship between
employees and higher authorities of an organization?
LITERATURE REVIEW
The study of job satisfaction is a topic of wide interest to both
people who work in organizations and people who study them.
Job satisfaction has been closely related with many
organizational phenomena such as motivation, performance,
leadership, attitude, conflict, moral etc. Researchers have
attempted to identify the various components of job
satisfaction, measure the relative importance of each
component of job satisfaction and examine what effects these
components have on employees' productivity.

SAMPLING PROCEDURE
Sampling is the selection of group with a view to obtain
information about the whole is group of persons that
represents particular community.
 The sampling method used was judgement sampling.
This sampling method was used because I want edto know
the judgment of the employees (satisfied with job or not)
based on their knowledge and profession

SAMPLING TECHNIQUE
● Simple random sampling - The random sampling
technique Is used for this study ,as the random staff
members and higher authorities are chosen for the
questionnaire and Interview.
Type of Study - The descriptive study is used as the data
is collected through a proper planned format

RECOMMENDATIONS
To increase the job satisfaction level of the employees the
company should concentrate mainly on the incentive and
reward structure rather than the motivational session.

Ideal employees should concentrate on their job.

Educational qualification can be the factor of not an effective


job.

• Company should give promotion to those employees who
deserve it.
MAJOR FINDINGS
Employees are not completely satisfied with their job
although their salary is good enough.

There is negatively comparison between peers especially


regarding targets.
.
Most of the employees think that the organization haven't
fulfil their promises, what they do in beginning especially
regarding Promotion.

LIMITATIONS
Short time period: The time period for carrying out the
research was short as a result of which many facts have been
left unexplored.
Lack of resources: Lack of time and other resources as it was
not possible to conduct survey at large level..

Small no. of respondents: Very few employees have been


chosen which a small number is to represent whole of the
population.

CONCLUSION
Many studies have demonstrated an unusually large impact
on the job satisfaction on the motivation of workers, while the
level of motivation has an impact on productivity, and hence
also on performance of business organizations.

There is a considerable impact of the employee’s perceptions


for the nature of his work and the level of overall job
satisfaction. Financial compensation has a great impact on the
overall job satisfaction of employees .
