RECENT NEWS ABOUT NOIDA, SECTOR-150 NOIDA
The Noida Authority plans to develop Sector 150 as an ideal sector with 80% of the
600-acre area as green cover and construction limited to the remaining 20%.

The sector, according to officials, will also have a 42-acre park, one of the biggest in
the country, besides a low-density Sports City.

The authority is also constructing a bridge to the cut travel time between Noida and
AUTHORITY
Faridabad. The bridge will link Noida and to the various sectors in Greater Faridabad.

"We plan to develop Sector 150 as an ideal sector. There are only two low-
density sectors in Noida 79 and 150. A 42-acre theme park is also being
developed."

The Sports City is a one-of-its-kind project in the country with a clear and defined focus on an integrated sports theme where
sporting events will catalyze other activities like tourism, community meetings, exhibitions, conventions and festivals. It shall
have a 9-hole golf course and sports facilities for cricket, hockey, tennis, etc.

The Sports City is basically a part of recreational land use and therefore its development is proposed in the recreational green
area and a separate provision for permissible ground coverage and FAR (1.50) had been proposed in the Building Regulations
Act of Noida.

Each participating developers would be responsible to develop one or more of the various public amenities.

According to Noida Authority officials, “We will be creating cemented ducts to underline of overhead
wiring work to be started. We will create RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) ducts along the roads so
that all kind of wires either electric, telephonic, internet etc lay in the duct.

Near Sector 150, a 50,000-seater cricket stadium will be built in Noida along the expressway in Sector 152, making it
the third venue for international games in Delhi-NCR after the Ferozeshah Kotla and the Nahar Singh Stadium in
Faridabad. 

This new stadium, which the Noida Authority has planned as a venue for Test matches, ODIs and T20s, will be part
of a sports city project.
