Standard 3/ Health Enhancing Personal
Fitness
 Objective: The student objective is to maintain the knowledge on how to maintain a healthy level
of physical fitness. Also, they will need to know how the body works and what exercises work
out certain body parts. Another thing they will need to learn is how to enhance their body when it
comes down to physical activity and consuming certain foods. 
Objective

 For this class and power point you will


learn how to maintain a physical fitness
lifestyle. 
 You will take what you learn from this
class and try to put it into everyday life at
least for this semester. 
 If you want to, you can work out with a
friend or in groups to help you. 
Activities

 Here are some different workouts you can do at home or outside without needing
any equipment.
 Push-Ups
 Lunges
 Sit-ups
 Go for walks or jogs
 Jumping Jacks
 Body Squats
Ideas

 You can see here that the people on the


right are doing lunges with a medicine
ball.
 These are just some different ways you
can exercise. 
 If you don’t have equipment you can use
anything. A filled gallon jug, a piece of
log, a basketball, honestly anything if you
are wanting to use some extra weight. 
Discussions

If you happen to have a question or need help this is what it's for. I will have open
discussions in class and help you understand how you can build muslce and what
exercises you can do to help maintain this lifestyle. I want you to be able to talk to
your classmates about different things you are doing that you have seen works. If you
can work out with someone then go ahead. If you want to make it a group project you
can. We will have discussions every week on how it’s going and to see if you have
made any progress.
Summary

 I have made it an emphasis that you don't need equipment to obtain the knowledge
of being physically fit. You are able to do this on your own or in a group with just
some different exercises. I have listed some idea on the previouses slides that you are
able to do. I know at times it can get hard and you want to quit but in the long run
this will be important for you. It can benefit you in many healthy ways. On the
ending slides I put some different resources you can look up if you want different
idea on some different workouts that you can do. Some of these are basic ones that
only stimulate one muscle or there are some that stimulate more than one. At the end
of this semester I hope you gain the knowledge on how to live a Physica Fitness
Lifestyle and continue to work at it as you get older. 
Check for Understanding

 There are different ways we can see if you understand what I am expecting from
you.
 A group project about what you learned and how you will impliment it in
everyday fitness. 
 We can have a one on one discussion or you can turn in a report on what you
learned.
 If you finished your goals, you could show me your goal list and explain to me
how you met this goal.
