Operating Instructions/Training
 Login
Scan fingerprint or enter user ID and password.
If your fingerprint does not scan after 3 attempts use your user ID and password

If you do not have a login or it is a real emergency and you need access to the anaesthetic cabinet
press the Emergency button
 Select the Patient
2) Select Patient (or department name) from alphabetical list
Enter the first few letters on keyboard and/or use the arrows to move up and down the list
Then select the patient on the screen
Wrong patient ? Press the “Next Patient” button to go back and choose again

The Doors Unlock. The screen will display “Select Supply Item(s) Now”
Cabinet doors unlock and will stay unlocked for up to 4 hours.
You can now open any door and take your item(s)
 Take items
Press the GREEN re-order button
1 item, press once,
2 items,press twice, etc…. THEN take the item or drug
Check the unit of issue on the screen is correct - box or each
Take one product at a time.
ALWAYS PRESS THE GREEN BUTTON

Take Another Item or when finished close the doors

OR press “Next Patient” to remove items for additional patients and repeat the steps above.
Only press “EXIT” if there is now no patient in the OR or AR.
Remember - the cabinet stays unlocked UNLESS YOU PRESS EXIT !!!
 Return items
Press the yellow Return Item button at the end of that item’s shelf.
All the shelf lights flash to indicate return mode.

Press the GREEN button

Returning 1 item, press once,
Returning 2 items,press twice, etc
Press the yellow Return Item button again at the end of the shelf. The lights stop flashing.
 Adding Patients
Most patients should appear on the Local List automatically.
However, if you cannot find your patient, look on the Global List. If they aren’t there, select ‘Add New Patient’
Enter the patient details and press ‘Add New Patient’

Find an Item
To find an item press Find Item after you have selected your patient.
Enter the first few letters of the item name and/or use the arrows to move up and down the list until you find your item.
Then select the item on the screen. NOW…..Follow the guiding lights !
