Mounting of Sprocket
Step #1

 Install the key into the axle slot (key must be at least 1-1/4times long).
 Be sure the interlocking sides of the hub and collar are facing each other.
The hub assembly may be installed onto the axle in either direction.
Step #2

Slide the hub over the key so that the key is flush on the
flat side of the hub (side with engraving) and protruding
on the collar side.
Step #3:

•Index the collar so that it will interlock onto the hub. Be sure to align the key relief in the collar with the key.
•In the photo above you can also see that the key is flush with this side of the hub.
Step #4:

Slide the collar over the hub. At this point the key must be
flush or protruding from the collar.
Step #5:

•Rotate the collar 90 degrees so that the setscrew will tighten down onto the key.
•Add a small amount of 242 Loctite (or similar threadlocker) to the setscrew threads.
•As you tighten the setscrew be sure that the collar stays straight and even on the axle and
does not cock. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!
Step #6:

•Above is a photo of an installed unit.

•The collar is positively locked onto the key with the setscrew and the hub is interlocked in the collar.
•The hub will now float and oscillate freely within the collar.
Mounting of Pulley
1. Before installing the bushing, polish the following
components:
a. Surface of shaft
b. Bore of the bushing
c. Inside diameter of the hub
d. Outside diameter of the bushing
Remove all burrs and foreign material, any particles
left on the mating surfaces may cause improper
installation.
DO NOT LUBRICATE MATING SURFACES
2. If the pulley is to be keyed to shaft, make sure both
shaft and bushing keyways are clean, smooth, and free
from burrs. check the
key size with both shaft and bushing keyways. Keys
should be placed into shaft keyways at this time. Pulley
bushing keyways require
alignment of both shaft keyways for proper bushing to hub
installation.
3. Place shaft into pulley, being careful not to damage the
bore of the hubs.
4. carefully insert a wedge in the bushing split and tap
lightly to expand the bushing. use caution as excessive
expansion will cause the bushing to split.
5. Locate shaft position desired and tighten capscrews in
each bushing slightly so that bushings are snug in hubs.
6. using a torque wrench and the recommended torque
from bushing installation instructions, tighten capscrews
alternately and evenly in one bushing only.
7. tighten the second bushing.
