Printed media and television

• Includes everything, from newspapers, magazines to billboards,

advertisements, shows and so on.

• Media is an extension of ourselves, just as hammer extends the

arm and a wheel extends our feet.

• Brain is not wired to deliberate upon a photograph before taking

in the info, unlike written media
• We all are affected by the images we see, the text we read.

• The principle of advertising – we may not need the product, but

seeing it repeatedly embeds it into our brain.

• What we see repeatedly, somehow becomes a part of us.

• Ability to reach a wide audience with an influential message

television on values

major public occasions.

calamity

they don’t always have the right answers.
