    • Captain Ricardo Carnicero – a military
    commander of Dapitan
    – whom offered Rizal to live in his house when he
    arrived in Dapitan.

    1. Antonio Luna in 1890 - He blamed Rizal for his
    love failures to Nellie, then commented silly
    and nasty about Nellie.
    2. Wenceslao Retana – claimed that the reason
    Rizal’s Family and friends were ejected from
    their Calamba properties was that they failed
    to pay rent.
