A Servant

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven

and the earth.
What does this verse has to do with
servant

Php 2:5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ
Jesus:
Php 2:6  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery
to be equal with God:
Php 2:7  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him
the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Php 2:8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled
himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of
the cross.
 What is the relationship between these verses, they all a
talk about the same person

 Joh1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word

was with God, and the Word was God.
 Joh 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.
 Joh1:3  All things were made by him; and without him
was not any thing made that was made.

So who is the verse talking about?

 Let us see something,

You know we have this mind that the servant posture

of Jesus began when he came to the earth,

We are not bothered to see Jesus as servant with His

earthly parent, do we have a problem with that? NO

But this is Jesus in Gen 1;1

Mat 20:25  But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye
know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion
over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon
them.
Mat 20:26  But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever
will be great among you, let him be your minister;
Mat 20:27  And whosoever will be chief among you, let him
be your servant:
Mat 20:28  Even as the Son of man came not to be
ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a
ransom for many.
Many bible readers would find it easy to think that the servant
posture of Jesus only began in the NT when He came to this
Earth ,

And we tend to see the creation story as the expression of

Gods power and yes its n amazing display of Gods power, He
speaks and things happen, when did u last see any one speak
and things happen, so the creation is clearly the an expression
of Gods power, God is the source of all power of all exitance
And so when we read Gen 1:1 we see God’s
power, But something profound is happening in
that same chapter and often we miss this
important theme
Gen1:1, in the begging God Created provided
(served) provides
And so here we get to see that Jesus was a
servant before He came to the earth, and He had
been a servant for all the time

He served light air , plant sun birds animal, life

Gen 1:29  And God said, Behold, I have given you
every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of
all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the
fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for
meat.

Provided to you…..
He is a good provider

Gen2.1-3 He served us with the Sabbath (thank

God for the sabbath rest)

Gen 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the

dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
So in creation we see God as a servant

God created humans not for His own benefit to

serve Himself first as many corrupt leaders would
have done, but on the contrarily for the definite
purpose to serve man kind creation is thus not an
act of dominance but an act of service
So in creation God is not showing off His power but He is
showing off his humility I got all power but am gona give all

And when planet messed up He served us His son

He put Adam and Eve in the garden to till it, the word for till
all goes for service
Having served us with the world He put men into the earth
to serve it, Its true we were made in His image and so
Nature and revelation alike testify of God's love.
Our Father in heaven is the source of life, of wisdom,
and of joy. Look at the wonderful and beautiful things of
nature. Think of their marvelous adaptation to the needs
and happiness, not only of man, but of all living
creatures. The sunshine and the rain, that gladden and
refresh the earth, the hills and seas and plains, all speak
to us of the Creator's love. It is God who supplies the
daily needs of all His creatures. In the beautiful words of
the psalmist—SC 9.1 - SC 9.2
These words speaks to the servant concept of the all nature,
everything serves something even some bacteria do good,

Sad that it has been noticed that the only thing on earth that
resists serving is the people that God put in the charge,

In the early church there was no title or positions, but the

fact is that today titles, education and such, go too much into
the head and broke serving, And these destroy the concept of
servant that Christian must have
The society that we live in eats us and destroys the
Christian basic concept of servants, humble servants of
God to humanity

And so we see Jesus doing the simple works of servants

and yet his Dispels would not bend down to that because
they were looking ofr who would be greater than

He that is greatest among you let him

But He serves with us with Forgiveness, He serves us with
Grace, air in our nositls

When there is no food he provide, when the Dr says no way

He Serves u with life….

And He desires to serve us through eternity
