Protection of Patents
• Protection of one’s invention:
 By Registration of Patent
 Registration of Patent is based on ‘First Come, First Serve’
basis
 Registration gives patent applicant a ‘priority date’
 For the registration of patent, the applicant must follow
the prescribed procedure and give the complete
specifications of the invention

Product Liability
Product liability refers to a manufacturer or seller being held
liable for placing a defective product into the hands of a
consumer. Responsibility for a product defect that causes injury
lies with all sellers of the product who are in the distribution
chain.
