What is Women Empowerment?

 It is the process and the outcome of the process by which women challenge gender based
discrimination against men/women in all institution and structure of society.
Why need of women empowerment?

Women are worshipped as goddess of India,


But not given her true position

Right to Equality
 Article 14 of Indian Constitution provides for the equality before the law or equal
protection of the laws within the territory of india.
 It describes equality to all person including citizenship,corporation and foreigners.
 It is not only the right of Indian citizens but also for Non citizens.
Ways to achieve women empowerment

 Support women in crisis


 Provide a ticket to better life
 Use your voice to keep girls in schools
 Tell the women in your life that you care
Main problems

 Lack of Education

 Absence of ambition for the achievement

Rural women conditions.

 60% of the girls are married before the age of 16.


 Nearly 60% of married girls bear the children before they were 18.
 125,000 women die from pregnancy and related cause every year.
 Maternal morality in India os the 2nd highest in the world.
Conclusion

 Girls education is a stategic development priority.


 Better educated women tend to be healthier.
 Earn highest income, fewer children,marry at a later age,and enable better healthcare and
education for their children.
