PHOTO ESSAY

“Covid 19”
By: Angel Grace B. Hiavia
Coronavirus disease is an infectious disease
caused by the newly discovered corona virus which
killed thousands of people around the world.

People have hard time dealing with this crisis

especially those who belong to the poor and
marginalized sector in our society and those who
lost their means of livelihood due to the
implementation of the enhance community
quarantine.
I miss going to school.
I miss listening to our
professor’s lectures.
I miss those times
when I was laughing
and chatting with
◦ …… classmates putting our
worries aside and
enjoying our moments
together…
And hanging out
and doing silly
things with friends.
Hhhaayyy! I miss those
times.
Now, because of
the COVID 19
pandemic, the
government
implemented the
enhanced community
quarantine to prevent
tha said pandemic to
spread further. Due to
the said
implementation, the
once busy road now
seems to be lonesome.
Only few people
are lurking on the
streets, either to buy
the necessities or for
other reasons, to avoid
the possibility of
having COVID 19
which kills the lives of
thousands of people.
Thanks to our
medical frontliners
for their courage to
the point of risking
their lives to protect
the lives of the
people.

And to all other
frontliners, I salute
you all!
Despite this difficulties that we
are facing, there are still people who
are willing to reach their hand to
other people who are in need even
though they are also in need of help.
Also, the government did not
abandon us during this time of
difficulties and did their best to
support our needs.

Artist’s Statement:

The reason for creating this photo essay aside from it being a
requirement in our GE 7 subject called Art Appreciation, is to
express my thoughts about the existing COVID 19 pandemic that
killed thousands of lives all across the globe. Though this photo
essay is not perfect, I hope that this output somehow awake you
of what is happening to our surroundings.
Reflection

While doing this output, there are many things that I realized. First, we
should be thankful to God because we are still alive. Second, we
should thank all the frontliners, medical or not, for their bravery and
courage to fight COVID 19 to the point that they are willing to risk
their lives. Third, we should pray that this crisis should stop. And
lastly, we should not purely rely on the government and the
frontliners, and we should do something to help the government and
the frontliners to mitigate this problem by doing what they (the
government and frontliners) told us to do and the is by staying in our
home and not lurk on the streets just because of mediocre reasons.
