The beginning
• Got his first job at a firm that made emergency lamps, voltage
stabilizers, etc. 
• "Continuing on that job was not a good idea after I learnt enough about
electrical goods there. Instead, I decided to quit and start my own
business" says Chittilappilly. 
• He borrowed Rs 1 lakh from his agriculturist father. 
• He made the circuit all by himself. It would automatically switch itself
off from the power supply whenever the voltage shot up. 
• V-Guard started selling 15 voltage stabilizers a month in the early days .
The present
• Largest selling stabilizer brand in India.
• 500 distributors, 3000 dealers, 20,000 retailers and a network of
service centres across India.
• Pumps and Motors, Electric and Solar Water Heaters, Wiring
Cables, UPS, and Ceiling Fans
• Wonderla :Three of the top four amusement parks in India are
wonderlas
• Veegaland Developers
• Chittilapilly is a recipient of Rashtriya Samman from
the Government of India for being the highest tax payer in India.
