Kiwanis Organisational Structure

• Our club is a member of Kiwanis International,


a worldwide organization headquartered in
Indianapolis, Indiana. It is governed by a board
of 20 trustees.
– The Kiwanis International President is Paul
Palazzolo.
– It holds an annual convention each June or
July.

• Kiwanis International is divided into 50


Districts, our District is the Eastern Canada
and the Caribbean District (EC&C). Each
District is managed by a District Governor.
– Our District Governor is Gary Levine.
– Our district holds an annual convention
each August.

• Each District has several geographic Divisions,


the EC&C has 28 Divisions, our division is
called Division 23West. Each Division is
managed by a Lieutenant Governor.
– Our Lieutenant Governor is Odence Rose.
– Our division meets every quarter.

Our club is 1 of 18 clubs in our Division.


Our club is governed by a Board of
Directors which consists of the club officers
and 7 additional directors.

Club bylaws define our club structure and operation.


Our club membership votes on:
•Election of club officers and directors
•Amendments to club bylaws

•Determines club policies
•Approves club projects
•Sets and approves the club’s budget

• Administrative Account
– Income from club dues, meal charges, new member
fees.
• Service Account
– Income from public fund-raising projects or
contributions and cannot be used to pay
administrative expenses of the club.

Our annual club dues amount is $9000.00

$42 are Kiwanis International dues


$XX are ECC District dues
$XX is retained by the club for administrative
costs
$12 provides liability insurance for clubs activities
$8 is a subscription to KIWANIS magazine
