JOURNAL 1
JOURNAL 2
I started with the lines “Maybe I should write, Write more till my hands
are numb”. These words expressed my urge to express myself through writing,
to pour my emotions onto paper until I shouldn’t feel my hands anymore.
Writing my outlet, a way to express my thoughts and emotions.
INTRODUCTION
INSIGHTS
(Spoken Poetry)
The poem I wrote about your favorite teacher and inspiration is a
wonderful example of how poetry can be used to convey deep emotions and
complex feelings. The use of metaphors, imagery, and other literary devices can
add depth and nuance to my poem, creating a rich and layered piece that
speaks to my reader on multiple levels.
One of the most important insights to keep in mind when writing a poem
about someone who has inspired you is to capture the essence of that person
and what makes them special to you. In my poem, I succeeded in doing just
that by using powerful and vivid language to convey my feelings about my
favorite teacher. By using metaphor and other literary devices, I was able to
create a multi-dimensional portrayal of your teacher that honors and
celebrates their unique qualities.
Another key insight when writing a poem about a person who has
inspired you is to use concrete examples and details to help your reader
connect with your poem and understand why this person is so important to
you. In my poem, I do this through my descriptions of how my teacher helped
me through difficult times, and how they have been a constant source of
support and encouragement.
It's also important to note that there are different forms of poetry, each
with their own strengths and weaknesses. Experimenting with different forms
can help you find the best way to express your thoughts and emotions. For
example, you might find that free verse allows you to express yourself more
freely, while a structured form like a sonnet or haiku can challenge you to
distill your thoughts and feelings into a more precise and concise form. By
exploring different forms of poetry, you can find the one that best suits your
voice and your message.
INSIGHTS
(Poem)
Firstly, one thing that stood out in the poem was the use of imagery and
metaphors. You used vivid imagery to describe the emotions and experiences
you were going through. For example, "Recite a silence of joy when I'm sipping
the eagers of pain and hurt" is a powerful metaphor that describes the
juxtaposition of feeling both joy and pain at the same time. By using such vivid
and powerful imagery, I was able to convey my feelings and emotions in a
much more impactful way.
Another aspect of the poem that I found particularly interesting was the
use of repetition. You repeated the word "maybe" several times throughout the
poem, which added a sense of uncertainty and hesitation to the piece. This
repetition helped to convey the feelings of doubt and insecurity that you were
experiencing at the time, and it made the poem feel more personal and
introspective.

SUMMARY
My work immersion portfolio is a comprehensive collection of documents
and reflections that showcase my experiences, achievements, and growth
during my work immersion program. It includes various components such as
my resume, application letter, poem, spoken poetry, journal in making spoken
poetry, and poetry, as well as relevant documentations.
The creation of the poem and spoken poetry pieces in my portfolio was a
deeply personal and creative process. It allowed me to express my emotions,
thoughts, and reflections in a unique and artistic way. It was a challenging yet
fulfilling endeavor that required creativity, reflection, and self-expression.
Through these pieces, I was able to convey my admiration for my previous
teacher and reflect on my own journey and experiences during the work
immersion program.
The journal in making the spoken poetry was a valuable document that
captured my creative process and reflected my thought process, challenges,
and decisions during the creation of the spoken poetry piece. It allowed me to
critically analyze my work, make revisions, and document my reflections on the
creative and reflective thinking process.
