Classroom Assessment
• It must be conducted by the teachers to track and measure learners’
progress and to adjust instruction accordingly.
• It may be in the form of formative and/or summative assessment.
• Teachers may assess learning outcomes in the form of knowledge,
skills, attitudes, and values.
• To capture evidence of learning, learners shall prepare portfolio.

• Summative tests shall be adminestered in school to learners on F2F


learning and blended learning. For those who are on distance
learning, summative tests may be administer when physical classes
shall be allowed and possible
• A separate Order shall be issued on Classroom Assessment and
Grading System in light of COVID-19 Pandemic

• Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K to 12 Basic


Education Program will in force and in effect unless a new order
issued
Lesson Design and Assessment
• Lesson plan should embody the unity of instruction and assessment.
While planning lessons, teachers need to be able to identify reliable
ways to measure learners’ understanding. This means that you need
to communicate to learners what they are expected to learn, involve
them in assessing their own learning at the beginning, during, and
end of every lesson and use data from their assessment to continually
adjust instruction to ensure attainment of learning outcomes
