providing direction, implementing plans and
motivating people.

 It can be defined as how a person plays a role. If


we go further, how he reacts, how he decides, how
he interacts and how he treats other people

AUTOCRATIC LEADER
MEANING

The word AUTOCRAT suggests “ being dictatorial’’


In this style of leadership, a leader has
complete command and hold over their
employees/team.
The team cannot put forward their views even if they
are best for the team or organizational interests.
They cannot question their leaders way of
getting things done.
Here leader makes decision without reference
to anyone else.
The leaders are highly dictatorial and have little trust
in their subordinates.

 No conflicts and disagreements.

 Less competent employees can be


employed because they just need to execute the
things.

opinion.

 Climate of fear.

 Creative ideas cannot be put to use.


Participative Leadership
Participative leadership is a style of leadership in which all members of the organization
work together to make decisions. as everyone is encouraged to participate.
Participative leadership generally follows these steps:
Discuss as a group :There is usually a leader who oversees the process. This leader
facilitates a discussion about the issue at hand or the decision that needs to be made.

Provide information: The leader shares all pertinent information for making a decision
with the whole group.

Share ideas: The group shares ideas about how to solve the problem.
Process ideas and information: The leader summarizes the information and ideas for the
group.
Make a decision: The group makes the best decision based on the information and ideas
presented.
Implement decision: All members of the organization implement the decision.
DEMOCRATIC LEADER
MEANING

This type of leadership is very essential in


todays business sector.
It creates and maintains healthy relationship between
the members and the leader.
Probably the best style of leadership that allows
employees to give suggestions and take crucial
decisions.
Leader acts as a guider and mentor to the employees
in achieving the organizational goal.

Laissez Faire
MEANING
In this type of leadership , leader uses his power very
little. He gives subordinates to high degree of
independence in their operation.
In this style leader allows the employees to make
the decisions.
This type of leadership is used when employees
are able to analyze the situation and determine what
needs to be done.
And it works only if employees are skilled,
experienced ,loyal, and committed to the job.

DIS-ADVANTAGES
 Sometimes subordinates do not get the
guidance and support from the leader.

 Ignores the leader’s contribution.

 If employees are cunning in nature, work cannot be


completed.
