OPD : two different OPDs at same location
Gynaec -- morning
ANC – afternoon
• Location : ground floor
• Site : easily accessible, spacious entry & exit
• Area & space : depends on the patients load,
- Ideally 12 to 18 % of depts. area
- Waiting area 6-8 sqft /patient
- flooring non slippery
• Ventilation & Illumination: Adequate air circulation &

preferably sufficient natural sunlight.


• Display boards.
• Wheelchair & Trolley bay.
• Safe drinking water facility.
• Ramps /lift facility.
Additional Specific requirements
Attached sufficient number of urinals / toilets.
2-3 urinals/toilets per 50 pts.

2.25mts between centres
 Ancillary area : 15-20 sqmts.
 Corridors : 2.5 mts wide
 Postpartum wards: every bed with baby crib &
