Lina Marcela 5a
 Born in Bogota. He is a mechanical engineer from the National
University, with postgraduate degrees in Aerospace
Engineering and Astronomy in the United States. NASA
awarded him the Star of Merit for his contributions to orbiter
safety. He was in charge of shuttle propulsion systems at
Boeing's space exploration division in Houston. He was a
member of the Association of Self-Taught Astronomers of
Colombia (ASASAC) where he shared his love for Astronomy
and space travel, giving lectures for the public at the
Planetarium in Bogotá. Today he works with rockets that
power NASA's Space Shuttles; works for Boeing Space
Exploration in Houston. The White House awarded him the
Star of Merit for his contributions to the safety of the orbiter.
He is currently working on propulsion systems for NASA's SLS
mission at Boeing's space exploration division in Houston.
