What is Recycling ?
• Recycling simply refers to the process of
converting waste materials into usable
resources.
• Recycling means using the core elements
of an old product as raw materials to
manufacture new goods.
• The most ordinary items can be recycled
are: Plastic, Glass, Paper, Batteries ,
Aluminium etc.
Ways of Recycling

those products are sorted ,cleaned for
manufacturing new products.
• Processing old products to produce raw
materials for manufacturing new products.
• Buying the recycled materials which leads
to better success of the recycling process.
Benefits of Recycling
1.Conservation of Natural Resources
By using recycled
materials: reduce
the need to cut
down trees, drill
for oil and mine for
minerals.
On average every
tonne of paper
recycled saves
approximately 17
trees.
2.Energy Savings
One recycled glass
bottle can save
enough energy to
power the light
bulb for four hours.
One recycled tin
can save enough
energy to power a
television for three
hours.

3. Environmental Protection
• Reduce pollution
• Reduce
greenhouse gas
emissions
• Reduce CO2 gas
emissions
4. Jobs Creation
10,000 tons of waste:
• Incinerated, creates
1 jobs
• Landfilled, creates 6
jobs
Jobs
• Recycled, creates
36 jobs
