• According to ICT statistics in 2013, the Philippines ranked 94 th in 2010 and


103rd in 2013 out of 166 countries. – rappler, 2013

• 6 February 2017 — The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) recently


released a report on the status of ICT sector development in different
countries around the world. The 2016 Measuring the Information Society
Report ranked the Philippines at 107th, which is one rank lower than last
year’s ranking of 106th[1]. For 2016, 175 countries were included in the survey.

• The Philippines ranked 9th among the 30 lower-middle-income countries and


placed 13th among 15 countries in Southeast Asia and Oceania, which was
described as “below average.” – business world, 2018
