WHAT IS TRAINING?
• The term training refers to any process by which the aptitudes, skills and abilities of an
employee to perform specific jobs are increased. It is a short-term process utilizing a
systematic and organized procedure by which non managerial personnel learn technical
knowledge and skills for a definite purpose.

Why is training important?


 Higher level of productivity
 Heightened morale
 Increased organizational stability and flexibility
 Beneficial to employees
 Standardization
SUMMARY
• Systems – a company traded in several products- both domestic and imported
• Maximum revenues from selling electronic component products
• Affected by government’s policy which made imports costlier
• Didn’t have enough revenues from exports so decided to discontinue importing semi
knocked-down (SKD) kits
