Controller is an industrial
computer control system that
continuously monitors the state of
input devices and makes decisions
based upon a custom program to
control the state of output devices.
PLC WORKING IN SEPARATOR
* We have two chemical separators,
Gum Separator & Wash Separator.
* Both have separate PLC unit to control its process.
* Fault in any one PLC, will result in stoppage of entire
chemical refining process.
EXISTING PROBLEM IN PLC
PLC of Chemical Plant is the compact unit of Siemens C7-635 with keys.
* Plastic body of PLC compact unit is broken from
different corners.
* Communication problem occurs sometimes between HMI & PLC due to broken parts
& loose wiring, which results in malfunctioning of system .

1) REPLACEMENT OF PLC
• Replacement Only.
• Easy working.
• Less Down time.

Disadvantage:
* Obsolete Model, not available in market.

2) UP GRADING OF PLC
• Installation of New Model with replacement of old one.
• Require working with care & diligence.
• 3-4 working days approx, to make it operational.
• New Model will be available in market for next 7-8 years

We are searching in market but availability ratio is to low.

Up gradation Of PLC
Its not a simple method like replacement but it will more reliable,
Because its HMI & PLC will separate & I/O cards are also separate.
The main reason to up gradation is the availability of replacement
after 10 years minimum.
