 DEFORESTATION
• Every day thousands of newspapers are read and then
disposed of in regular garbage. This increases the
number of trees being cut to produce paper. If we
recycled this paper, thousands of trees could be
saved.
 WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE
PROBLEM?
• I think that the human driven and natural loss of trees
deforestation affects wildlife, ecosystems, weather patterns,
and even the climate. Forests cover about 30 percent of the
planet's land mass, but humans are cutting them down, clearing
these essential habitats on a massive scale,  I also think this is
a problem that affects us all around the world, If there are not
enough trees there is too much CO2 in the atmosphere and  If
there is too much CO2 in the atmosphere, people will get
diseases, especially respiratory diseases.
 WHAT WOULD BE POSSIBLE
SOLUTION FOR IT?
• The best solution to deforestation is to curb the felling of trees, by
employing a series of rules and laws to govern it. Deforestation in the
current scenario may have reduced however it would be too early to assume.
The money-churner that forest resources can be, is tempting enough for
deforestation to continue.
• If clear cutting of forests is banned, this will curb total depletion of the
forest cover. It is a practical solution and is very feasible.
• If we plant trees in the vicinity, we replace the cut trees. Also the cutting
must be replaced by planting young trees to replace the older ones that
were cut.
 . DO YOU SEE THIS PROBLEM IN YOUR
COMMUNITY? WHAT DO PEOPLE DO ABOUT IT?

• This problem is quite common in my country, forest losses in Colombia since

1990, recently has been worst in areas where agricultural industries like cattle
ranching, palm oil or coca cultivation have expanded. Illegal mining has also
increasingly become a threat to the country’s forests.
• Many people are worry because the deforestation can generate a lot of healty
problems for example If there are not enough trees there is too much CO2 in
the atmosphere and  If there is too much CO2 in the atmosphere, people will
get diseases, especially respiratory diseases.
• the government is implementing environmental measures to avoid cutting down
trees and planting trees to replace those that have already been cut down.
 WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THE FUTURE TO
HELP SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?
• I going to try don’t waste wáter. If I have the posibility, I will
grow plants, trees, grass, and flowers.
• I won´t use wood products that can be reeplace for other kind
of material and do the same function.
• I will participate in educational campaigns to prevent this
problem and make people aware of the situation.
