Character
Is saying “Yes” to what is good and right, and “No” to
everything else.
Godly character is about
making the right choices in
life. That is why it is important
to us to ask God’s help. It is
also important to read His
word, so that we will know
how to choose what is right.

We must remember that our
choices bring about
consequences. Our choices
in life determine what kind of
character we will have.
When we choose an action,
we will have to live with the
consequences of that
action.

Dealing with
Temptation
Temptations are things that try to attract
you to do something that is wrong.
Temptations
Are things that try to attract you to do something that is
wrong. Temptations also put your character to the test.
Our character is tested by how we
deal with temptations. When we
respond wrongly to temptations,
that is, when we give in, it can
destroy our character. But if we
are able to handle temptations
correctly, it can build solid and
godly character in us.

Temptations help build our character
because these help us set a standard in
life and help us try our best to stick to it.

Each day we face many temptations. These try to

persuade us to do what is not right. But we should
remember that the Lord gives us the power to
overcome temptations. We can say “No!” to
temptations.

Memory Verse:
The temptations in your life are no different
from what others experience. And God is
faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be
more than you can stand. When you are
tempted, he will show you a way out so that
you can endure. – 1 Corinthians 10:13

God promises in I Corinthians 10:13 that he will help us

face temptations and overcome them.

When we are tempted, remember that we are not alone.
Remember that being tempted is not a sin. Giving in to
temptation – that is sin. Even Jesus was tempted. But Jesus
said “No!” to temptation. Other people in the Bible were also
tempted, but we see stories of how God helped them to say
“No.” So other people have resisted temptation, so can we.

God helps us by helping us recognize the situations and

friends that will get us into trouble.

Honesty and
Truthfulness
Honesty and Truthfulness
Are not the same thing. Being honest means not telling
lies. Being truthful means actively making known all the
full truth of a matter.
These two qualities should be given
much importance these days. So many
think of getting rich quickly that they are
willing to cheat for money. Some boys
and girls wish to get high grades without
studying hard. To get their wish they
often cheat in their homework and in
their tests.

Cheating and lying have become
common practices among boys and
girls. What should then we learn to do
in order to be honest and truthful?

• Tell our parents the truth about money we ask and

things we want to buy;
• Avoid taking or claiming things that do not belong
to us;
• Tell our parents what we are doing in online class;
Jens

• Return money or things received or found by mistake;
• Return promptly all things borrowed;
• Keeps promises and agreements;
• Avoid copying somebody else’s work (plagiarism);
• Avoid teaching others during recitations and examinations;
• Pay one’s fees or fares
• Make up for injury done to others;
• Be accurate in giving reports;
• Acknowledge works of other authors that we quote;
• Do well what we are paid to do;
• Pay our debts promptly.

Thank you for everything. Thank you for
making us realize what is right and what is
wrong. Guide us and deliver us from any
harm.

May we continue to be honest, to love

you more by following and having great
faith in you! Help us always through the
guidance of the Holy Spirit.
