• FSU is one of the largest and
oldest of the 12 institutions
of higher learning in the
State University System of
Florida;

History of FSU
• FSU is a public university;
• FSU is open to accepting all students of any
religion;
• FSU is a co-ed school with 55.4% of students
being girls and 44.6% of students being boys;
• FSU is located in Florida’s capitol, Tallahassee FL;
• FSU is a bigger college with over 33,000
undergraduates with a campus that is 477 acres;
• FSU has over 400 buildings;
• As of 2016, these buildings have been added or
renovated on the campus:
• Doak Campbell Stadium Improvements
• Athletics Locker Rooms/Offices/Players Lounge
• Strozier Library Improvements
• Tucker Center Basketball Locker Room

• If placed on Academic Probation they do not
specifically prohibit a student from
participating in extracurricular activities unless
otherwise specified by University policy, rules,
or by-laws governing the activity or
organization;
• FSU offers hundreds of majors that are
categized in 15 different colleges, which are:
College of Communication & Information,
College of Criminology and Criminal Justice,
College of Education, College of Engineering,
College of Fine Arts, College of Human
Sciences, College of Law, College of Medicine,
College of Motion Picture Arts, College of
Music, College of Nursing, College of Social
Sciences and Public Policy, College of Social
Work, Dedman School of Hospitality, and Jim
Moran School of Entrepreneurship
• The degrees they offer (which vary for each
major) are Bachelor’s, Master’s, Specialist,
Doctoral, Juris Doctor, Juris Master’s, Master of
Law Letters, Doctor of Medicine, Track within
the undergraduate major, and Joint degree
• FSU also has a wide range of abroad programs

near FSU due to its great
location near the Capitol.

• The major I am interested in which
is Sports Management, FSU’s
master’s program in Sport
Management is ranked #1 in the
nation!
• As a Sport Management major at
FSU, you can also participate in the
Global Sport Management
program, which is a study abroad
program that features a number of
exciting opportunities for students
interested in international and
global aspects of the sport industry.
You will have the chance to attend
sporting events, meet with
executives from various sport
organizations, tour some of the
United Kingdom’s most famous
sporting venues, and learn about
Career Services the global sport industry
• Extracurricular: FSU has over
30 clubs and over 100
extracurricular activates on
campus;
• Varsity Sports: FSU has 8
boys Varsity sports and and
10 girls varsity sports.
• They may have a lot of
varsity sports but the school
also offers over 40 sports
clubs for students who enjoy
the game but don’t want to
play at the varsity level.

Social Activities
• FSU has 14 Suite-Style halls for
students that live on campus;
• These halls feature two
bedrooms that share a bathroom.
Bathrooms in all of the suite-style
halls have one shower and toilet
that are shared by 4–5 students;
• There are many rules that must
be followed in the dorms. For
example the entire campus is
tobacco free.
• If there are problems with
roomates the school would like
the students to try to resolve the
problem, but if nothing happens
they can bring in a mediator. The
mediator has the ability to
On Campus Living request a roommate change.
• Cost: There are 4 dining
plans that vary from $1,248
(Cheapest) to $2,098 (Most
Expensive)
• The least expensive plan is
145 meals a semester while
the most expensive one has
open access;
• The campus has food
offerings for all people,
vegans, vegetarians, and
gluten-free.
