The Plot

 This film is about the true

story of Saroo Brierley.

 Saroo lived with his mother

and siblings in Ginestlay, a
very poor Indian region. His
mother had to work a lot
because his father had left the
family. Saroo and his siblings
looked after each other.
The Plot
 One day, five-year Saroo went with his
brother to the Ginestlay railway station.
Guddu (his older brother) left Saroo there to
look for money and food. Saroo got in a train
and fell asleep. He was taken to Calcuta, in
India.
 He walked alone in the streets for weeks, he
became homeless. He had difficulty to talk
to people because he didn’t speak the
language.
 In spite of all the difficulties, he managed to
survive until he got to a shelter. He was,
then, adopted by Sue and John Brierley, an
Australian couple.
The Plot
 After being adopted, Saroo moved to Australia, a
totally diferente world from the one he knew. He
managed to adapt himself to this new world and to his
new parents.

 His foster family helped him to remember his origins.
They even had a map of India next to his bed.

 The memory of his real family was always present

and his will to see them again was getting stronger.
Saroo started to spend hours online researching
different places in India in Google Earth. He hoped to
remember where he was from; he even studied
attentively the train rails. Soon, he travelled back to
India.
The Plot
 In February, 11th ,2012 (25 years later) Saroo finally found his family in
Khandwa. He got together with his mother, his sister Shekilla and his brother
Kallu. It was a very emotional moment! Sadly, he got to know that his brother
Guddu died the same night he got lost…

 Saroo supported his family and visited them many times, but he stayed in
Australia living with his foster parents.

PERSONAL OPINION
 I loved this film mainly because it is a real story.

 It is also full of meaning because it shows we must fight for what is

important and for what we really believe.

 This film is also an allert for what goes on in India, a very poor country.
How many children, like Saroo, get lost every day?

 Every child in the world should have the right to Wellbeing and Education,
without having to stand any kind of difficulties.
The End
I Hope You Have Enjoyed It!
