• Processing of total 04 numbers of revision cases filed

under rule 61 of Mineral Conservation & Development
Rules 2017.

 Central Zone : Targets for Next Three months

• Annual Inspection Targets : By 15.03.2019

• Validation of all the Self Assessed Five Star and Four Star
Rated Mining Leases : By 31.012019

• Achievement Annual Targets of internal audit of MCDR

inspection reports of Regional offices.

• Disposal of 03 numbers of pending stoping applications :

By 31.01.2019
• Ensuring seamless operationalization of leases expiring
in year 2020 in co-ordination with regional offices

 Central Zone : Thrust Areas and way forward

The Thrust Areas identified to put in place a

comprehensive system of monitoring tracking and
analysis of information to ascertain actionable points :

• MCDR Administration : To monitor and track each

inspection, it’s outcome, timely issue of violations and
follow-up to the logical conclusion, submission of
reports in time and critical issues indicated. Preparation
of Year end analysis report as an outcome of
inspections.
Action : Preparation of Excel Formats and an officer to
be nominated as nodal officer in each region

 Central Zone : Thrust Areas and way forward

• Mining Plan Approvals: To strengthen the system of post

approval Auditing by tracking follow up actions to be
taken to keep at bay any future complication. Also to
ensure violations observed during inspections are
pointed out as an standard practice.
Action : An officer to be nominated as nodal officer in
each region.
• Court Cases/ Complaints/ Ministry References : Close
monitoring and regular follow up with various
authorities for timely disposal.
Action : Preparation of Excel Formats and an officer to
be nominated as nodal officer in each region

 Central Zone : Thrust Areas and way forward

• Auction and Exploration: Close monitoring of various

auctions, potential blocks, post auction status. Mapping
of exploration activities in the area. Co-ordination with
State Governments.
Action : Senior most Geologist to be nominated as nodal
officer in each region.
• MTS/Star Rating/MSS : To take timely action and regular
sharing of information with State Government, their
feedback and information gathering and further follow-
up as may be required.
Action : A mining engineer and a geologist to be
nominated as nodal officer in each region.

• Notices and Returns: Close monitoring and tracking of

various returns and notices received in the office and a
system of regular scrutiny.
Action : An officer to be nominated as nodal officer in
each region.

Note : All the actions are to be taken by Central Zone to

put in place this system and its modalities within next
three months.
