Most of the people are moving to urban areas and they have the highest purchasing power compared to people in semi urban and
villages.
The metros also witness huge penetration of women’s western wear as compared to Tier -I or Tier -II cities of the country.
The well informed and trend conscious female customer base has led to deeper penetration of brands and private labels in the metros.
Rural apparel market:
The rural apparel market is still primarily catered by unbranded and unorganised local players.
Need based clothing and price sensitivity among people of rural does not make it a lucrative market for branded players.
Warm Climate:
People living in warmer climates wear shorts and swimwear for longer periods. Cotton clothes are prominent in this climate.
Cold Climate:
People living in colder climates prefers coats and jackets. Woolen Clothes are prominent in this climate.
