Introduction
• A company that has a server has a great advantage, it can publish a web site,
management files and even manage the accounts of the workers of the same.

• Now imagine, joining a cluster of computers with Windows Server and its
features, such as Internet Information Service, File Transfer Protocol, Domain
Name System, Active Directory.

• It is one of the best options

General objective

• To install and configure Active Directory to provide the administration of the

accesses of each of the users are terminals, as well as to configure the DNS
and WEB services to host and publish the website of the Company on the
Internet.
Justification
• The present project arises with the
purpose of solving the problem that
the company has, when
implementing the technological
solution based on the administration
of a cluster with the Active Directory
service.
The advantages of having a cluster
High Availability
 Always available

High Processing Speed

 Multiprocessor

Scalability
 Without loss of performance

Load Balancing
 Minimum administrative distance
But…
Expensive
 The devices are usually expensive

New Infrastructure
 Wiring, Switch, Routers, Servers

Configuration
 It is not easy to configure
Radical changes
Radical changes
Active Directory
• Hierarchical directory structure that stores, in a database, information about
networks and domains.
• To designed especially for distributed network environments, uses protocols
such as FTP, DNS, DHCP, among others
Conclusion
Based on the above, the following is concluded:

• A cluster is defined as a single unit of information processing.

• A cluster can be used for many applications, for example high availability,
load balancing, scalability or high performance.
• A cluster is an inexpensive solution to solve problems that compute
resources.
• A cluster is an economical way to do tasks in a distributed and parallel way
