 Teacher helps the students to understand,

implicit cultural assumptions, frames of
references, perspectives and biases within
the discipline influences the ways in
which knowledge is constructed.

 Interrelate the concepts, subjects and
activities across the curriculum.

challenges and feedback

 Students and teachers both need to listen
and debate to other’s ideas and to use
debates to establish common
understandings.
 Dialogue can be conducted in many ways,
such as :
 Teacher announce the topic in advance
and students prepare the topic for
presentation;
 Teacher form different groups of learners
and arranges dialogues among the groups;
 Teacher announces the topic and initiate
the discussion through questioning and
probing.

 Engage everyone in the dialogue

 Teacher talk should not over dominate the dialogue

and build on what have said
 Students contribution should be treated with respect

 Students should be prepare for challenges

 Motivate students’ to challenge each other’s in a


constructive way.
