Introduction:
As we begin the next twenty
years of community life, we
need to identify and meet the
challenges that we face as we
journey from PEARL TO
GOLD!

Challenge Number 1 –
OUR IDENTITY

1) Pope Benedict XVI: One of the

greatest tragedy today are
Christians who do not know who
they are and where they are
going.
2) This pronouncement may also
be true in CFC.

3) Identity is not a matter of name,

title, role or responsibility. It has
to do with who we are and who
we become as we heed the call
of the Lord.
Challenge Number 2 –
OUR PURPOSE
AND
MEANING
1) The second part of what
the Holy Father said is
just as important as the
first.
2) We need to have a clear
and deep understanding
of our mission/vision as
a community and how
we see ourselves being
part of the overall
response.
3) We need to know that
we are a community in
transition and many of
us would like to leave a
lasting legacy.
Challenge Number 3
–
OUR JOURNEY
TOGETHER
1) The acronym “ON FIRE” (as
put forth by MV) captures our
moving forward with greater
passion and guidance for the
mission ahead.
The 3 C’s to guide our
active participation:

a) Conviction

b) Confidence
c) Commitment
The 3 S’s as our tool for
empowerment:
a) Sacramental Life
b) Spirit of Sacrifice
c) Submitted to the
Will of God
Conclusion:
These are exciting times
and we need to face the
future full of hope and
confidence that God is
always with us!
