FITNESS CONCEPT
AND TECHNIQUES
WEEK 7
CONCEPT

Physical fitness is a ability of the body to adopt to external

environment and cope with the daily activities.

Techniques
MOVEMENT PREPARATION

• Its referred to as a dynamic warm-up, involves moving in a

variety of direction at different speed to help activate the
tissues along with the nervous, circulatory and respiratory
system responsible for controlling and fueling movement
FIVE WAYS OF MOVEMENT
PREPARATION WORK AS PRE WARM UP

1. Joint capsule and ligament ending contain numerous

sensory receptors that measure and identify pressure
2. Muscle are comprised of two different kind of tissue: the
contractile elements of the actin and myosin proteins and
the elastic components of the fascia and connective tissue
3. As muscle lengthen, the muscle spindles sense the rate of length change
and communicate with the motor neurons to initiate muscle.
4. Multiplanar movement at a variety of rhythmic speeds increase heat in
the body.
5. Reciprocal inhibition to the physiological action that occurs when the
shortening or contracting of one muscle send a signal to its functional
antagonist which allows it to lenghten
MOBILITY

• is the ability to move a limb through it’s full range of

motion.
• is a controlled voluntary movement through its entire
functional range of motion
• Mobility training is the process in which you work to
improve mobility in all or a single joints
CORE STABILITY

• Ability of a person to stabilize their core.

• Ability to control the position and movement of the core
BODY WEIGHT EXERCISE

• Body weight exercise are strength training exercise that use

the individual’s own weight to provide resistance against
gravity
• It can enhance a range of bio motor abilities including
strength, power, endurance, speed, flexibility, coordination
and balance
