 What is facebook?

• Facebook is the most popular social

networking site on the Internet. It was co-
created by Mark Zuckerberg and officially
launched on February 4, 2004. Facebook is a
popular destination for users to set up their
personal web pages, connect with friends,
share pictures, share movies, talk about what
you're doing, etc.
 What are ethics?
• Ethics are principles that guide a person or a
society to decide what is wrong, what is right
in given situation .
• Ethics are set of guidelines
• Norms and Values of Society,
• Ethics are abstracts they are not in a written
form.
 What kind of ethics we should keep in mind
while using facebook.?
• Privacy/stalking
• Hacking
• Religious debates
• Political discussions
• Racism
• Provincial conflicts
 Privacy/stalking
• When we talk about privacy or stalking , that
we all do that to some extent but this is so
unethical.
• We do search profiles and save their personal
data and make fun of them and consider it a
fun activity but in reality it is unethical and can
disturb personal life of anybody.
 Hacking
• Hacking is the process to infilitrate in someone’s
personal account/database and to steal
data,misuse,or operate that account as that
person is operating and blackmail him/ her.
• Consequences
• it can destroy the personal life of effected
person that results in deep stress, suiciedes and
ransom.
 Religious Contentions
• We must avoid from the religious
contentions/debates/arguments.
• Consequences:
• If we talk on these issue like relgious
contentions and that turn into unethical
arguments that can lead to violence , mass
murdering and most shocking things is that
separatist elements take edge from them and
create disharmony.
 Political discussions
• When two different groups from
different/opossing political parties confront
each other on facebook that surely goes
unethical.
• consequences
• That can lead to voilence/abusing.
• That doesn’t benefit anyone but political
parties.
 Racism
• Debates on racism/cast/skin must be avoided
because that can turn an ordinary person into
a person full of hate and the reason behind
that is debate on racism.
• Consequences

• That can lead to hate against a whole race.

 Provincial conflicts

• When we talk about the provincial conflicts

they are triggered by the some elements that
make propaganda by creating provincial
debate on facebook.
• Consequences
• Insurgency in Baluchistan , Karachi, 7 agencies.
