10 Steps to Help you Create a Lesson

1.  What standards and objectives do you want your studentsto achieve?

2.  How will you assess your students' learning at the end of the lesson? 

3.  What real life situations or careers can you think of where this would apply?

4.  What problem comes to mind based on your answers to 1, 2, and 3?

5.  What resources will your students need? (texts,technology, supplies, graphic organizers, etc.)

6. How will you support and scaffold your students' learning? 

7. How will you group your students to facilitate their learning?  Will you assign them specific
roles?

8. What formative assessment will you use to gauge how students are learning and what changes
you need to make to assist their learning during the lesson?

9.  How will students present their solutions?

10. How will you provide feedback to your students?  How will they reflect on their learning?
