HOW MUCH? - HOW MANY?

When we want to know the quantity or amount of something, we ask questions


starting with How much and How many = Cuando queremos saber la cantidad o
cantidad de algo, hacemos preguntas que comienzan con Cuánto (a) y Cuántos (os - as)

How many days are there in January? How much water do you drink?

There are thirty –one days in January - I drink a lot of water – I drink little
water
A lot of: - Lots of : Mucho – un montón de
Little: poco - A little: un poco
HOW MUCH ...? - (Quantity)
How much is used with uncountable nouns.

How much milk is in the fridge?


There is a box of milk
How much sugar do you need? I need a
pound of sugar.
How much money do you want? I want lots of money
How many is used when we want to know the QUANTITY
of something. It is only used with plural countable nouns.

How many apples do you eat in a


day? I eat one apple in a day

world? There are 195 countries in the
