Community Lectures

Advocacy Staff went with the Community Development Program Staff to give
Advocacy Lectures about Love Languages and Common Thinking Errors to
the parents and beneficiaries in Passi City, Bingawan and San Enrique
It was participated by 116 beneficiaries (60 youth and 56 parents).
The character named Tita Tonya was part of this activity.
Advocacy staff was able to identify possible youth advocates from the INSERT PHOTO HERE + Short Caption
ComDev Program. They were those who showed leadership and public
speaking skills.
The staff was also able to meet the local leaders of the place.

Voice and Hivos
The poems made by CAMELEON girls and youth advocactes were posted on the websites of Voice and Hivos. It was done in observance of the International Day of the Girl Child.

Meeting with
UGSAD Regional Gender Resource
Center

The activities of the network from October to December


were presented to the attendees of the meeting. An online
discussion entitled “Building up Children’s Protective
Behavior against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of
Children” was organized by UGSAD and CAMELEON in
collaboration with Stairway Foundation and Break the
Silence National Network for October 29.

Meeting with ABSNET

Pasundayag Sang Kabataan is scheduled on November


28,1PM 
With the pandemic, it was agreed by all present to conduct
the activity through virtual presentation. Messages and
presentations will be pre-recorded to avoid problems on
connectivity if ever. Presentation of organizations will be
compiled into one virtual program and will be shown
through a host account.
The theme for this year is “Sama-samang Itaguyod ang
Karapatan ng Bawat Bata sa Panahon ng Pandemya”.
CAMELEON will record a 5-minute presentation of
Cirquera de CAMELEON.

LINKING AND
LEARNING
The funder of Advocacy Program has a regular Linking
and Learning Sessions for its grantees. These aim to
strengthen partnership among the organizations that Voice
supports and facilitate capacity building on topics related

Discussion for November.

Collaboration with
ILOILO CITY COUNCIL FOR TH EPROTECTION OF CHILDREN

The Iloilo City Council for the Protection of Children requested INSERT PHOTO HERE + Short Caption
for the video of CAMELEON Team doing the Panatang
Makabata. This will be part of the virtual kick-off ceremony for
Children’s Month. The council also asked for the documentation
on the major activities of CAMELEON during the pandemic
which will be included of the report of Iloilo City report on NGO
participation.

MEETINGS with CAMELEON France
One of the partners of CAMELEON, Voix de l'Enfant COVID 19, will have a consultation with
its partners on November about the prévention of abuses among children and youth in France
and around the world. With this, an online meeting with the Director of Operations of
CAMELEON France was facilitated.

Meeting with DILG

The Department of Interior and Local Government


Region VI will have the Child Friendly Local
Governance Audit. Since CAMELEON is a private
sector representative in the inter-agency
monitoring board, the organization was part of the
orientation on how the audit will be done during
the pandemic.
Online platforms will be utilized.

“Building Up Children’s Protective Behavior for the Prevention of Online Sexual Abuse and
Exploitation “
Resource Person: Sir Ace Diloy, Senior Advocacy Officer, Stairway Foundation
This activity was organized by UGSAD Regional Gender Resource Center and
CAMELEON. It was participated by 120 attendees. Maam Heide gave the closing remarks.

○ Lack of manpower

REFLECTIONS and REALIZATIONS
It is important to :
•adapt to the situation and work under pressure
•accept weaknesses and find solutions
•In giving lectures in the community, the facilitator must learn to adapt with the
situation.
•participants themselves are rich in experiences and insights
•concerns varies from one community to another
