I never expected to meet you

I never expected to know you
I never expected to fall for you
I never expected to love you

You were a surprise I never imagined

You are a delight I've been deprived
You are the love of my life
Yet I know you will never be mine

You're just my future that will not come to pass

Unless by any chance I can get back and undo the past
As destiny is a playful and childish orator
A fate that is cruel enough to be a dictator

Yet, I still believe in the impossible

Maybe someday, in your eyes I'd be lovable
Maybe someday, you'll realize that I am the one
Maybe someday, you'll tell me "PLEASE BE MINE"
