Something for the start…. BTS/Site view

· What are the biggest possible selling points and opportunities in the next future
for your operator
· What will be the big pain points of your operator in the next years to come

And some feedback we get from SSM´s:

· Current Customer perception is that both Huawei and E// ahead of NSN in
terms technology
· - on 2G situation is not that bad, but still Huawei is promoting the combined
BSC/RNC and the ease to SW-upgrade from 2G to 3G

· Flexi BTS power consumption both for 2G and 3G is much higher than Huawei,
E//

· Handset and Infrastructure Vendor roadmaps are not aligned

· NSN/Nokia - promoting ‘CS voice over HSPA’
· Ericsson/Qualcomm - promoting ‘VoIP over HSPA’
· Huawei - whatever the operator wants

Co-siting of Flexi Multiradio and UltraSite EDGE BTS
• Flexi Multiradio BTS can be used as an
extension for UltraSite EDGE BTS
• TRXs from both cabinets can be combined:
– in the same sector or
– TRX can be re-divided between sectors so that
Flexi EDGE BTS TRX are in one sector.
– For this, BTSs are synchronized for seamless co-
siting
• UltraSite EDGE and Flexi BTS can share
