TECHNICIAN
A Sonographer is a safe, non-invasive and low risk
ULTRASO career choice opposed to other career paths in this line
of medicine. Sonographers have ability to obtain and
UND view images of the internal body structure of their
patients. Sonographers work one on one with their
TECHNICI patients and play a critical role in helping detect and
monitor a variety of medical conditions, such as high-
AN risk pregnancies, cancer and heart detects.
REQUIREMENTS
To become an ultrasound technician I will be attending Dalton state for my
bachelor’s degree. Afterwards I will go to a 12month-18month program to get a
certification.

Examination application fees for ARDMS range from $225 to $250.


Application fees for ARRT are $200 to $400.
Application fees for CCI range from $365 to $450.

WHAT I LEARNED
This project has taught me how to budget properly and save with the money I earn
within a month. I have also learned that luxury is not important. You should always
be smart with your expenses and cut down on expenses that are not important. The
expensive items serves the same purpose as the cheaper one does. Realizing this, I
had to change my car to a cheaper one that I could afford.
