• When we talk about sports, we divide 3
groups – sports that have do, play and go
before them.
Example:
• Do yoga;
• play football;
• go bowling.

• We usually use play with: sports that need a
ball or similar object.

• We usually use do with: 
• - an individual sport or activity
•  fighting sports                                                             
•  hobbies or activities we do in our free time

• We usually use go with:           
• activities that end in -ing
• activities which involve going somewhere to do
them
