Difference between “being human” and
“human being”. The population of transgender people has estimated by Pakistan documentary which is over 10,000. Don’t they have the “right to live” in this society or world! They have. PROBLEMS
Problems like poverty, harassment ,bullying,
suicide attempts, self-harm and many more. Status of transgenders in Pakistan is that much low that they are beaten up badly in public. They lack education, job opportunities, respect, fundamental rights of health and safety and social respect. Third gender people are in fact compelled to beg, dance or work as a prostitute to earn money. A lot of trans people die in hospitals due to not getting treatment on time. In November 2016, Saudia government banned transgender people to get visa to perform “UMRAH” at Makkah. CLOSURE
They should be given equal basic rights as all
citizens. There should be addition and rectification in the previous laws which weren’t paid much attention. Education, health, jobs and safe houses facilities should be provided. Some positive moves are considered as “Transgender Person Bill 2017” by our government. Primary schools for third gender people are constructed, which is a new hope to the trans community. Under the Transgender Person(Protection of rights)Act 2018, they may have their gender identity of choice reflecting by their documents including NIC, passport etc. Transgender people will be no more deprived of the right to vote or to run for office, the Act obligates the government to establish protection centers and safe houses. THANK YOU!
