HISTORY
Mainly it Is motivated by ITS(Information
Transport System).
In December 2016, the US Department of
Transportation proposed draft rules that would
gradually make V2V communication capabilities
to be mandatory for light-duty vehicles.
The hope is that by 2020 cars will be able to
communicate with one another and warn
drivers about the roadside hazards ahead.
ITS aims to improve cooperation among public
and private sector organizations.
Technologies:
DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communication)
VANET (Vehicular Ad hoc Networking)
VANET is a Technology that uses moving vehicles
as a nodes in a network to create a mobile network.
The importance of this technology is to improve
the safety of the roads by providing incident alerts
before a driver sees or detects them.
Benefits or Advantages of V2V
Disadvantages of V2V
Any small occur in the working of V2V will
lead to total disturbance’s of one’s driving.
Some times Signals given by it will not be
correct.
As Vehicles in V2V are connected to
internet,they prone to hacking.
Hackers can access the data and control the
vehicle
CONCLUSION
The main objective of vehicle to vehicle communication
technology is to eliminate costly and life threatening
traffic collisions.
Although there are a few issues with this technology, it
overall seems that the various safety features show great
promise in making the roads a safer place for drivers and
their loved ones.
