However, so far, no detailed investigation of the effect of artificial sonar on

Meanwhile, laboratory studies conducted by the University of Wisconsin-based
Hawaiian Institute of Oceanography at Woods Hole revealed that the use of
sonar systems on board could temporarily fuel dolphins and lead to modest
changes in their behavior. The authors of the study, published in Biology Letters,
state that controlled laboratory tests have shown that sonar signals "at least"
intermittently annoy dolphins. Scientists also say that due to the "proliferation"
of dolphins, they can loose hearing loss by hearing aids to the warships.
