holiday only a few states celebrated into a national
holiday?

didn’t become a Thanksgiving
tradition until the 1870s, nearly
10 years after Thanksgiving
became a national holiday.
What about parades? Do you watch a parade on
Thanksgiving? Where do you think parades came
from?

Parades came along with football.
People would caravan to the games
and make lots of noise. Eventually
these turned into big parades such
as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.
