Why This Site Is Important
(Primary Sources)

The inauguration of Theodore Roosevelt marked the

beginning of one of the most important presidents in US
history. Roosevelt still has national and international impact
on the world today (National Parks). The inauguration was
supposed to be William McKinley but he was assassinated
and Theodore Roosevelt (Vice President) became President
by default. When McKinley died, Roosevelt had to
immediately inaugurate.
Economics Of The Site
(Primary Source)

Most of the property issues are a reflection of the economy.

Big businesses are more economically helpful. Granted if the
big businesses are abusing their own power, there has to be a
way to stop that. Theodore Roosevelt was trying to protect
how the use of these resources are being used. That there
has to be a drawing point somewhere, and this is what he
was trying to do with making National Parks and Sites.
Why People Should Care
During Theodore Roosevelt’s presidency was that the
government could protect land from being abused or
destroyed. Privately owned property and resources are a
huge debate today. Because of Theodore Roosevelt’s ideas
on National Parks and Sites, it helps keep the land preserved
for other uses and help specific resources grow.
