Utility Software consists of:
– Hot Add (hot_add)
• register newly-created volumes with the operating system without
need to reboot.
– SMdevices utility displays information about the logical volume
• OS device name
• DSM logical volume Name
• World Wide Name (WWN)
• LUN #
• Controller owner
