• Globalization is the word used to describe the
growing interdependence of the world's economies,
cultures, and populations, brought about by cross-
border trade in goods and services, technology, and
flows of investment, people, and information.

• Globalization aims to benefit individual economies

around the world by making markets more efficient,
increasing competition, limiting military conflicts,
and spreading wealth more equally.
Benefits of the
Globalization

— Managing Employee Immigration
Three Main Classifications of
Globalization

Political Globalization
-refers to the amount of political co-operation that exists between different
countries.

Social Globalization
-refers to the sharing of ideas and information between and through different
countries.

Economic Globalization
-refers to the interconnectedness of economies through trade and the
exchange of resources.
Some of the Negative Impacts of
Globalization

 Globalization operates mostly in the

interests of the richest countries,
which continue to dominate world
trade at the expense of developing
countries.
 There are no guarantees that the wealth from
inward investment will benefit the local
community.

 Globalization is viewed by many as a threat to

the world's cultural diversity. It is feared it might
drown out local economies, traditions and
languages and simply re-cast the whole world in
the mould of the capitalist North and West.
To make it simple, Globalization means the speedup of
movements and exchanges (of human beings, goods, and
services, capital, technologies or cultural practices) all over
the planet. One of the effects of globalization is that it
promotes and increases interactions between different
regions and populations around the globe.
