Adam smith in his book “wealth of nations” defined


economics as a science of wealth that deals with the
production ,consumption, distribution and exchange
of wealth
Alfred Marshall
Alfred Marshall wrote a book by the name of
“principles of Economics”.
He defined economics as a “study of mankind ,it
examine that part of human life which is most closely
connected with the attainment and use of material
requisites”.
Lionel Robbins
Robbins wrote a book by the name of “nature and
significance of economics". He defined economics as a
science that studies human behavior as a relationship
between unlimited wants and limited resources which
have alternative uses.
