1. Meaning
a. Metaphor
A word/expression which in literal usage denotes one kind of thing or action is applied to a distinctly
different kind of thing or action without asserting a comparison
In A Red, Red Rose the metaphor is in the whole poem. The Metaphor is about complexity and pain
of true love.
